EMDR Intensive

When Understanding Your Past Isn't Enough to Change How You Feel

You may understand your trauma, recognize your triggers, and know exactly why you respond the way you do, yet still feel stuck in the same emotional and physical patterns.

EMDR Intensives offer an opportunity to go deeper, with dedicated time and space for focused trauma processing.

At Lumen Roots Therapy, I integrate Somatic EMDR, attachment-based therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed approaches to help you explore experiences that continue to shape your emotional responses, relationships, and sense of self.

Unlike traditional weekly therapy, an EMDR Intensive provides extended sessions that allow more uninterrupted time for preparation, processing, and integration.

This approach may be particularly helpful for individuals experiencing:

  • Childhood trauma or emotional neglect

  • Attachment wounds and relationship difficulties

  • Anxiety and persistent emotional triggers

  • Negative beliefs about themselves

  • Chronic stress and nervous-system overwhelm

  • Repeated patterns that feel difficult to change

Healing isn't about forcing yourself to revisit the past. It's about creating the conditions for your mind and body to process experiences at a pace that feels manageable.
