Parenting Coaching

Parenting a neurodivergent child often requires a completely different framework—especially when your child doesn’t respond to typical strategies, or when you're navigating a Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) profile. Many parents I work with feel burned out, blamed, and unsure how to support their child without losing themselves in the process.

Parent coaching offers a nonjudgmental, neuroaffirming space to shift from power struggles and shutdowns to connection, collaboration, and regulation. We focus on understanding your child’s nervous system, honoring your own, and building strategies that support sustainable emotional safety—for both of you.

I work with parents on:

  • Understanding the PDA profile and what drives demand avoidance

  • Shifting from compliance-based approaches to connection-based ones

  • Co-regulation, scripting, transitions, and predictable scaffolding

  • Reducing escalation while still holding boundaries with compassion

  • Processing grief, isolation, and self-doubt around “doing it right”

  • Finding your voice again as a parent—not just a problem-solver

I also support parents of adult children navigating:

  • Life transitions like launching, individuation, or staying home longer

  • Autonomy-building and executive function struggles

  • Parenting through estrangement, burnout, or shutdown

  • Rebuilding relationships that have been strained by misunderstanding

Parent coaching is not about creating perfect behavior. It’s about creating space for authentic relationship—rooted in curiosity, mutual respect, and emotional resilience. This work isn’t easy, but it’s possible. You don’t have to do it alone.
