Counseling for Anxiety & Depression

Anxiety and depression are often rooted in trauma, chronic stress, or neurodivergence. Therapy can help you understand your symptoms, regulate your nervous system, and find lasting relief.

Anxiety and depression often show up together, one buzzing with urgency, the other heavy with fatigue. You might feel trapped in a cycle of overthinking, then shut down. Some days you're wired and restless; others, numb and unmotivated. You try to hold it all together, but it feels like you're running on empty inside.

Maybe you've lived like this for years. Maybe you've gotten good at hiding it. High-functioning depression. Quiet panic. The pressure to be okay. Whether you’re exhausted from holding it all in or overwhelmed by constant inner noise, you don’t have to do this alone.

Many of my clients are neurodivergent or have experienced complex trauma, where anxiety and depression aren’t just moods—they're survival strategies shaped by stress, disconnection, and self-protection.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • The emotional and nervous system patterns that keep you stuck in loops of overactivation or shutdown

  • The roots of your symptoms—past experiences, relational wounds, or neurobiological wiring

  • The inner beliefs that fuel shame, pressure, or self-abandonment

  • The ways your system tries to protect you—through perfectionism, avoidance, people-pleasing, or withdrawal

Using a combination of Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and somatic tools, we’ll support you in:

  • Calming your body’s stress response

  • Building awareness of your internal world without judgment

  • Reconnecting with emotion safely—without getting overwhelmed

  • Shifting from survival mode into a deeper sense of presence and possibility

  • Reclaiming a sense of self that isn’t defined by fear, shame, or burnout

Therapy is a space to get curious—not just about what's hard, but also what’s possible. Your symptoms aren’t character flaws. They’re adaptations. And they don’t have to define you.
